Week 1: Onboarding and Discovery
The first week is all about getting to know your business. We’ll schedule a brief onboarding call to learn about your industry, your current bookkeeping setup, and your goals. During this time we’ll:
- Connect to your accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Wave, or FreshBooks)
- Review your chart of accounts and make sure categories make sense for your business
- Identify any cleanup work needed before we start your regular monthly bookkeeping
- Set up secure document sharing so you can easily send us receipts and statements
You’ll receive a simple onboarding checklist — most clients complete it in under 30 minutes.
Week 2–3: Cleanup and Catch-Up
If your books need some cleanup from previous months, we handle that during weeks two and three. We categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and get everything current so your financials are accurate from day one.
You won’t need to dig through old receipts or try to remember what a charge was for — we work through it systematically and ask you only when necessary.
Week 4: Your First Monthly Report
By the end of your first month you’ll receive your first clean financial report — a Profit & Loss statement and Balance Sheet that actually makes sense. We’ll walk you through what the numbers mean in plain language so you can make confident decisions about your business.
